Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Prairie Association,
The Spring Association Meeting of the Prairie Association was a truly memorable event. Many who attended heralded the weekend as "the best association meeting ever." David Schoen was an exciting speaker with honestly valuable information to share in an interesting and thought-provoking way.
You may be interested to know that at the Annual Business Meeting of the Prairie Association on Saturday, May 3, 2008 a vote was taken to call Rev. Kathy Lawes as the Prairie Association Minister. 56 votes were distributed at the meeting and all were returned. When the votes were counted, Kathy Lawes was accepted as the Prairie Association Minister with 55 votes of affirmation.
I'm leaving the information from the meeting posted below for a while, along with links for the Ready! Set! Grow! materials David Schoen presented.
As a reminder, the information David presented was never meant to be the full training for Ready! Set! Grow!. Watch for more events in the future, including a workshop at our Fall Meeting at Rockford's Spring Creek UCC on November 1st, with more in depth discussions on the Ready! Set! Grow! materials.
